When considering the most important aspects of customer service brands, one integral, but often overlooked element is the uniforms worn by staff.
Richard Shaw, Development Director at Exemplar feels that the importance of the front of house cannot be underestimated. “Getting this aspect of company image right invariably results in highly motivated staff that are proud to provide excellent customer service. This reinforces the brand’s attributes at the point at which the customer truly engages with it. At Fitzroy Place for example, where our concierge staff will play a prominent role, we have employed sartorial designer David Newell (pictured right) to create a range of uniforms that are bespoke to our brand.
Fitzrovia is renowned as a place of creativity so it was important that we not only embraced this spirit, but also tapped in to the incredible local talent. David, with his background in product design, music production and also having trained alongside the likes of Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen, was the perfect match for us.
