Words do sum it up. A perfect finale.

The climax to the Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia Festival, sponsored by Fitzroy Place, was a gala performance at The Queen Elizabeth Hall on the Southbank.

Performed on the eve of Dylan’s 100th birthday, the concert featured Owain Arwel Hughes who conducted the world premiere of three new works dedicated to Wales’ best loved bard, together with readings by special guest stars including Tom Hollander, John Owen-Jones, Siân Phillips, Jonathan Pryce, Robert Bathurst and Griff Rhys Jones.

Over 30 events took place over the weekend, including a poetry slam (England versus Wales) and a performance of Under Milkwood starring Games of Thrones star Owen Teale (pictured).
