Reading Bridge is one of Reading’s landmark buildings and at over 115,000 sq ft, it is also one of its largest.
Little attention had been paid to the management of the building during the previous ownerships and Exemplar took the opportunity to change the perception of the building both through refurbishment and an overhaul of the management regime and the introduction of new services offered to tenants.
Exemplar completed the refurbishment of the building in summer 2006. During our 18 month ownership and as a sole result of our improvements, rents increased by 20% and the vacancy rate fell from nearly 40% to just 8%.
Following the completion of the first phase of a £5 million refurbishment, the building now features brand new Grade A office accommodation with a brand new reception area designed by award winning architects Collett & Farmer.
