Spring Gardens

Project description

Following an international competition Exemplar was appointed exclusive development partner by the Canadian Government to source and secure for them a new Chancery (Embassy) for them in London.

The project had two distinct phases; firstly Exemplar were charged with locating, securing and developing a new state-of-the-art Chancery facility within Central London and secondly, once the new Chancery had been completed, to redevelop their existing building in Grosvenor Square, ensuring best value and maximum return for the Canadian Government and people. A preferred site was selected on Spring Gardens in close proximity to the Mall and Trafalgar Square, and plans were drawn up in conjunction with signature architects Dixon Jones. The project was unfortunately eventually cancelled due to Canadian austerity measures.
