Working with UBS Global Asset Management, Exemplar Properties acquired the site in April 2005 located in the heart of the City of London. Part demolition of the existing buildings commenced in October 2006.
Following receipt of a detailed planning consent for a new 75,000 sq ft headquarters office building, construction of the new Rex Building commenced in May 2007. The scheme includes part façade retention and was completed in November 2008 on time and on budget. The building, which offers high quality and efficient office space from 9,944 – 75,000 sq ft with average floors of 12,500 sq ft., was let in its entirety to a single tenant.
